Big Little Lies

Long time that I haven't specifically blogged so here is a revival.

Big Little Lies was something people were raving about a year back and I was planning to watch it but had never got round to it until now.

One day and 7 episodes. I'm not too sure what I think.

The sensation and essence of the plotline changes your thoughts and perceptions throughout the various episodes. It gives you an insight into the appearances of the enchanting Monterey couples whilst carrying dark secrets inside. I guess it's ironic when you get to the end.

The first few episodes were very ambiguous and slow, it takes a conventional and yet unconventional route of showing the end results of the season at the start. Building up all the episodes until the big finale at the end. It was difficult to concentrate and I personally felt bored mid-season so I was only watching to understand what was going to happen at the end. I guess the foreshadowing at the start of the season made sense but possible a more creative storyline was needed.

The characters itself were very creative. I liked the sense of enigma each character brings to the show that creates that phenomenal intrigue.
Reese Witherspoon as Madeline Martha Mackenzie is portrayed as this 'perfect' candidate, outspoken and ambitious outlook, although you are constantly annoyed by her personality until you understand the true deception that she leads.
Nicole Kidman as Celeste Wright is incredible in the way she shows a broken individual with love and loyalty to her family and more concerningly her husband. Her character can bring a lot of what some people truly go through, which can highlight the importance of your friends and family and specifically talk to them about relationships.
Shailene Woodley as Jane Chapman shows similarity to Madeline as she is depicted innocently until we truly know why she's moved.

These are only 3 main characters but others add to the storyline. Although, I'm not sure whether I enjoyed the show. The drag of each specific relationship and the drama was exhausting, especially within the children. The storyline is a little over dramatised.

The Circle

This film freaked me out a little knowing the proximity of technology.
You would think this would never happen. Unfortunately, we are closer to this type of technology.

Emma Watson portrays a character that is similar to most people's beliefs and opinions. We strive to show the public our lives because we don't see the consequences. Until, something happens.

Good Girls Revolt

I'm caught up with words.

I feel that Good Girls Revolt has a two sided opinion about women and men working together. As shown, women are not fairly treated compared to men due to hierarchy at that particular century and the rise of female power. But some male opinions about women is perfectly acceptable such as the dialogue between Douglas 'Doug' Rhodes (Hunter Parrish) and Patricia 'Patti' Robinson (Genevieve Angelson). She admits her dreams to her lover and not only does he accept her dreams but tries to involve himself in it and support her through tough love. This show has given the audience of every different guy and his opinions, some may not support it but others do. This is an example that every man is not that same and others will strive to the see the world in our eyes as well... Equality.

Personally, my interest in feminist shows and films are what I strive to watch and get obsessed with. That probably shows my favour towards actresses such as Gal Gadot, Emma Watson and Lupita Nyong'o. So this article may be favourable towards females but this show is an example of what a lot of females in the journalism industry had to go through. Someone who is not knowledgeable about the industry, it gave me a lot of insight about how it used to work and the difference between sex and their roles. This show isn't a real life story but the circumstances and events were similar to what happened then. This has given me something to be thankful for because if anything unequal happened today, I can have a say in it whereas it was difficult to project any opinion back then.

The Divergent Series : Insurgent

Where to begin...
Somewhat close to a series of unfortunate events where we see Beatrice 'Tris' Prior (Shailene Woodley) getting into every possible messed up event that she can find with her love companion; Tobias 'Four' Eaton (Theo James). Not to say in a bad way because I think the way that they showed the film was spectacular. We are constantly perceived to think differently by director Robert Schwentke and there is always some spin or twist that is too much to bare.

We start with the hair cutting which I don't believe (from a friends POV) that was in the book, although short, was funny to include into a film on behalf of Woodleys decision to do so. Straight away we see 2 sides of Tris and the other characters where they have to behave in a respectful manner in their 'faction' whilst being their violent self when Tris and

Pure and genius mind of Christopher Nolan

Christopher Nolan.
He has to have a sentence to himself to state his pure and genius mind. Nuff said!
I don't believe I have ever come across a director or movie that I have enjoyed so much and (from my very first blog post) inspired to do something different or look at something different.
Somehow Nolan captures such complex ideas and put them in front of you to create the intended emotion or feeling - I don't even know if that makes sense but if it does you know how I feel.

Like many films, Christopher Nolan brings impressive concepts and ideals into his movie that no-one would ever of thought to touch or consider and shares it with everyone. When everyone thought he could of done anything more with his portfolio, he proves us wrong and creates an even better piece of art that intrigues us all. From the following to Interstellar, he proves to us with the diligence and the patience that create creations can be produced and you have to have the courage and determination with your work to allow yourself to make wonders out of it. After analysing his portfolio and his past history of developing film, Nolan probably had funding from Warner Bros. for his Inception film by making him produce the Batman film so therefore Warner Bros probably had money from Batman (which was guaranteed)

Introduction

Hi,
It was 12/11/2014 where I cam out of my local cinema and inspiration sprawled out of my like nothing before. My heart was beating so fast that I pressed my thumb on my crappy Nokia lumia phone about 500 times just for it to open. In addition, I think my figures are trying to tap as many keys as possible to get the amount of words in my mind out onto something! And here I am.

The film I watched was Interstellar which is my first review after this short introduction. By the way my name is Sapir. Anyway... its 22:54 right now and I came out of the cinema 54 minutes ago and I am still hyped and so absolutely excited and pumped although I have school tomorrow. The fact that I take media for A-level doesn't help the fact that I want to talk all about the film and I have had experience in reviewing it. I want to go into the film industry but I am going to university to do a different course because I don't believe production course is a method of getting into the sector.

I think this is the only thing I have ever been passionate about in my entire life. The only thing I have actually put effort into and the one thing I enjoy doing. And that why I decided to create this blog so I can put all my effort and energy in something I love into this - not anything to do with english language but just trying to pour out my love and soul to a subject and future career I heavily enjoy and hope one day to be in.

Thanks for reading my rant about... my life.
:)
